🎬 What to Submit

SAT Fest focuses on short immersive films — works that push the boundaries of the dome as a creative medium. The selection is notably eclectic, international, and artistically ambitious. Both established creators and emerging artists are represented. Works have ranged from architectural visualisation and generative art to dance, sound art, and documentary.

For the 2026 edition, 31 films from 14 countries were selected in competition, plus special projections and opening/closing films.

      Audio: The Satosphere's 98-channel speaker system is one of the most advanced spatial audio environments in the world. The SAT's R&D lab develops its own spatial audio tools (SpatGris, Domeport Web) and runs open-source AV creation sessions at SAT Pro. HOA (Ambisonics) is native. If spatial audio matters to your work, this is the venue.
    

🎤 Live Performances

Live performance is central to the SAT's identity. The 2026 closing evening features Off Dômesicle × SAT Fest — a drum & bass / deep house dome party with 360° live visuals by SULFATION & JONAHVISION. The SAT regularly hosts live volumetric capture performances, generative AV sets, and dance works in the dome.

The SAT residency programme specifically supports the creation of new live works with full technical and artistic production support.

💼 SAT Pro — Professional Programme

Three days of professional events run alongside the festival screenings:

Mobile dome prototyping
Teaching immersive creation panel (with SYNTHÈSE)
Dome creation and interactivity with TouchDesigner
Immersive iterations and co-creation panels
Duplex conference with Sous dôme festival (Paris) on immersive sound

Residency: Current cycle (2025–26) is active. Next open call expected autumn 2026 — this is the deep route, with full production support to create a new work inside the dome. More than 180 immersive works have been created at SAT through this programme
